Works for me!
Got 2 of these in the green, turns out to be pretty nice looking. Very sturdy to sit in for the heavy folks, substantial poles, material and stitching. The only weak spot is where the legs pivot when folding/unfolding since the pin assembly that joins them seems like it could have been a little "beefier"but it doesn't feel weak anywhere while sitting in it.
I'm 5'4" with a 29" inseam & sitting flat footed the front frame of the chair legs hits the back of my legs a very tiny bit too high, nothing I can't live with, but I can see where it could become annoying after a long time without getting up, or if you have shorter legs. If you are long armed you might want to actually sit in the chair before purchasing, the arms of the chair are fine for me, but might not be quite as comfy if your hands are dangling off the front.
It could also be improved by adding a small pillow in the lumbar area, but for $15 you can't beat the value and serviceability.
I had no trouble getting it back into the bag, just push the chair together as tight as you can manage, roll the bag down to near the bottom, insert all 4 feet and slowly work the bag up over the rest of the chair.rumblechick
Love this chair!
As a very large woman I find it hard to find a sturdy chair that is wide enough. This chair is great - especially for the price. It sets up in less than 30 seconds, has fairly large round feet so it doesn't sink too far into the sand, is very sturdy, and is high enough to get out of easily (you can also use the arms to push) but low enough for me at 5'2" to reach the ground and put my feet flat. It is also very light and easy to carry over your shoulder. These chairs are always a little tricky to get back into the bag, but this one was no harder than any other. I recommend folding the mesh part of the bag back on itself about 6" ...then fold the chair ( easy), keeping the feet on the ground, feed the folded part over the top part of the chair stuffing the nylon material in as you go. When you have a small but complete part of the chair stuffed unfold the mesh to help feed. When you have about 1/3 of the chair stuffed into the bag, just tip the entire thing over and gravity will help you get the rest of the chair into the bag. It sounds complicated but actually takes less than one minute! If you have 2 people it would be even easier. The nylon part of the chair offers comfortable support and the arms have cup holders. I have only used this chair twice so I don't know how it will hold up ...but I am VERY pleased with my purchase. My 4 yr old grandson loved it too ...as did my 86 year old Mom ...Holiga
So I had limited expectations when I purchased this chair as a 415lbs tub of man goo, I half expected it to collapse at any given time. However it stood up well to a three day camping trip, although I took precaution with it and never plopped down in a drunken stumble.
The arms themselves are not good support for helping a man of my size rise from a sitting position, and I always tried to make sure it was on even ground (sometimes that wasn't possible) but all in all, the chair survived and is ready for the next trip!McTerry
Love Love Love this Chair, especially in the purple! I bought a total of 6 of these chairs, used them for a family gathering, received lots of compliments on these chairs. This chair offers a bigger seating area than the standard chair. The metal is thicker than the standard chairs I have owned in the past. The straps from the armrest are sewn to a thick nylon strap in the back which is a much better design than the older camp chairs which armrests always seem to break. These are perfect for any occasion. The price is right on. I would recommend this chair to anyone. I bought a more expensive chair for $25 from Walmart, which was much more heavier and bulky than this chair, which I will be returning; I like this oversized mesh chair better!dee33333
I am a big guy so I need something strong.I was a bit skeptical because of the price though. However, I just used it for the first time at the beach and it's great. It's sturdy. wide, and comfortable. Can't beat it for the price.noles
